Marketo is a tool built to help organizations automate their marketing activities and measure their ROI and engagement. We mainly use it to send out personalized emails to contacts. These emails could be invites for an event, informational or internal emails.
But sending out personalized emails isn’t the only thing for which we use Marketo. We often create events and then setup the entire campaign around it, all within Marketo. First, we create the assets needed for the event. These mostly are the emails that need to go out, like invites, reminders or thankyou-mailings which are all personalized emails to make sure that we get a lot of engagement from our contacts.
Then we can setup who should receive these emails and when. By using the smart list in the campaign, we can add filters and thus decide who will receive the email and who won’t. Another nice bonus to Marketo is the integration with Salesforce. With just a simple click of the button, you can link your event with Salesforce.
What if we want to use a landing page or a form? No problem! Creating them is also very straightforward with Marketo. And the received data gets stored in the database automatically. Great!
On top of all that there is the Design Studio. Here we can upload and host images we need for our mailings or landing pages and use them easily.
